Muhammad Firdaus Mohamad

Muhammad Firdaus Mohamad, Dip.LCM (B.85) also known as Megat is a versatile instrumentalist, arranger/composer and conductor in the Malay Traditional Music scene and symphonic Band scene in Singapore.

Since starting his music career in 2005, he has been invited to perform, arrange, compose and share his knowledge of Malay Traditional music in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the US to name a few. He is an advocate and someone who is very passionate about Malay Traditional Music.

Megat was appointed the National Language Ambassador by the National Heritage Board in Singapore in 2016 and is an active committee member of the Malay Language Council. In 2022, he was also appointed as the Ambassador for the annual Malay Traditional Music Festival, Gemadah.
